Position OverviewThe Clinical Dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy to patients who are recovering from an eating disorder, including educating patients and families on meal plans and nutritional needs.
Responsibilities- Provide medical nutrition therapy to patients with eating disorders by assessing nutritional status, establishing a meal plan necessary to improve nutritional status and evaluating the patient’s response to the plan.
- Provide individualized nutrition counseling and education to patients and/or families to establish and achieve nutritional goals.
- Complete documentation of interventions, individual and family sessions and meal plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team to coordinate treatment plans; attend team meetings and rounds to serve as the nutrition expert resource.
- Facilitate experiential groups, which may include restaurant outings, food preparation and cooking groups (as applicable), and assist in providing meal and snack support and supervision.
- Current RD/RDN credential with the Commission on Dietetic Registration Certification/Registration required in all states that offer it (National certification, Registered Dietitian preferred).
- Current state dietitian/nutritionist license, as required by state law.
- 0‑2 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian.
- Current RD/RDN credential with the Commission on Dietetic Registration Certification/Registration required in all states that offer it (National certification, Registered Dietitian preferred).
- Current state dietitian/nutritionist license, as required by state law.
- 2 or more years of experience as an RD, with a minimum of 2 years working with eating disorders (National certification, Registered Dietitian required).
- Bachelor’s degree (required);
Graduate degree in nutrition, dietetics or related field (preferred). - Current RD/RDN credential with the Commission on Dietetic Registration Certification/Registration required in all states that offer it (National certification, Registered Dietitian preferred).
- Current state dietitian/nutritionist license, as required by state law.
- 5 or more years of experience as an RD working with eating disorders (National certification, Registered Dietitian required).
- CEDRD, CDE, CSSD, or CNSC (preferred).
Washington Pay Range: $72,000 - $107,000 USD.
