Pay & SchedulePay: $21.14 - $27.00 per hour DOE
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm

In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing excellent customer service, answering phones, and monitoring instrumentation alarms.
- Performing venipuncture for blood collection, obtaining additional specimen types as required, and preparing all samples for lab testing and screening.
- Verifying specimen information, performing data entry, and properly identifying patient information.
- Receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity.
- Following safety protocols, HIPAA policies, Medicare rules, and participating in quality assurance.
- Covering work shifts at different sites as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Washington Medical Assistant‑Phlebotomy certification (MA‑P) required.
- At least 6 months of hands‑on phlebotomy experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients and team members.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Laboratory setting with automated equipment emitting ambient sounds.
- High level of staff interaction in close quarters; must hear alarms to ensure timely response to safety needs.
- Regular handling of potentially infectious samples, with required protective gear (lab coat, gloves, goggles, face shield).
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crawl, twist, and walk on uneven surfaces throughout the day.
- Frequent bending, extended standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Flexibility to work extended hours or overtime as needed.
This role involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues. Hepatitis‑B vaccination is offered to all performing these duties.
