DME Specialist
We are seeking someone with an exceptional customer service background and attention to detail to join our fast-paced DME Department as a DME Specialist. This position works closely with patients, providers, and other Sleep Clinic staff.
This is a full-time, on-site position, with the opportunity to work a hybrid remote schedule after completing the training period.
Full-time / 40 hours per week Monday - Friday / 8am - 5pm Hybrid-Remote after 90-day training period with a minimum of 3-days in the office
Qualifications:- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum two (2) years of administrative experience in a clinic/medical facility required.
- Experience in medical insurance for payers or government programs is preferred.
- Experience in Brightree and/or EPIC preferred
- Sleep-focused DME equipment experience preferred.
- Ensuring all patient referrals and documentation processes are completed accurately and efficiently, and within required timelines
- Communicating with the team regarding completed, pending, or missing documentation
- Creating and maintaining patient records and verifying insurance information for accurate billing
- Scanning electronic records into patient accounts
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff
- Filling resupply orders for patient pick up
- Provide timely follow up for patients as needed
- Prioritize work effectively and remain focused on intake responsibilities
- Complete thorough documentation in patient accounts in a timely manner
- Strong, professional verbal and written communication with patients, providers, and other clinic staff
- Ability to work independently and respond to team messages and emails promptly
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Quick learner in a fast-paced environment
