Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Counsel patients on treatment options based on provider recommendations and provide the ongoing support patients need during the entire process. Discuss advanced technology options such as premium IOL offerings clearly and concisely. Present insurance information to patients for an understanding of what is covered and not covered for surgery.

Explain the out of pocket collections due prior to surgery for patients to be informed and prepared. Act as a liaison between patients and providers pre and post-operatively. Navigate the surgical process and collect the necessary exam records, consent forms, medical documentation, and ASC mandated forms. Collect and coordinate all payments with surgical patients prior to a procedure. Track and follow up with patients who have not scheduled in coordination with the referral coordinator.

Track all future candidates and follow up accordingly. Communicate telephonically with patients regarding scheduling. Coordinate lens selection and ordering. Distribute review texts to patients.
