Pharmacy Assistant

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is currently hiring a Pharmacy Assistant for a retail pharmacy in Bellevue, WA.

Pay: $30 to $ 32.61/hour

Locations: Seattle, WA;
Olympia, WA;
Vancouver, WA; and Portland, OR

Schedule: Monday–Sunday, with shifts between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM

Weekends: Rotating weekends

• Provide excellent customer service to pharmacy customers.
• Perform cashiering functions and open and close the cash register.
• Answer incoming phone calls.
• Contact physicians by phone or fax to request prescription refill authorizations.
• Complete pre-counts of bulk quantity medications.
• Process returns through CLSMedturn.
• Order non-prescription pharmacy products.
• Maintain pharmacy files and follow department, state, and federal standards.
• Follow corporate dress code requirements and complete mandatory training.
• Assist pharmacists with daily pharmacy operations.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Familiarity with pharmacy terminology and processes.
• Willingness to work weekends and nights on a semi-regular basis, with occasional overtime.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• One year of customer service experience.
• Previous retail experience.
• Pharmacy computer system experience.
• Pharmacy Assistant Certificate or state license, if required.
• Typing speed of 40 WPM and 4,000 SPH ten-key skills.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, potentially up to 12 hours per day.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform other physical tasks as needed.

$30.00 to $32.61 per hour
