Human Resources Generalist, Benefits & Leave

As a key member of the HR team, you will:
  • Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, and supplemental insurance plans.
  • Manage open enrollment, qualifying life events, carrier reconciliation, and employee communications.
  • Oversee 401(k) administration, enrollments, contribution changes, compliance testing, and vendor coordination.
  • Administer FMLA and multi-state leave programs across several states, ensuring compliance and accurate tracking.
  • Coordinate workers’ compensation claims and communication with employees, managers, payroll, and external partners.
  • Review and approve benefits changes within the HRIS system while ensuring enrollment and payroll deduction accuracy.
  • Manage ADA accommodation requests and facilitate the interactive process.
  • Partner with leadership on job description reviews, updates, and compensation alignment.
  • Support annual performance review processes and employee communications.
  • Maintain employee records, HR reporting, audits, and compliance documentation.
  • Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers regarding policies, benefits, and HR processes.
  • Assist with payroll support and ongoing HR initiatives.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • 2+ years of experience administering employee benefits and multi-state leave programs.
  • Experience with Washington and California leave laws.
  • Experience utilizing an HRIS platform (Workday strongly preferred).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting organizations with 200+ employees.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or other HR certifications.
  • Competitive salary ranging from $82,000 – $100,000, depending on experience.
