Position Title
Benefits and Leave Management Specialist
Job Responsibilities- Support employees with leave requests.
- Ensure employee understanding of eligibility, documentation, and leave schedule.
- Oversee tracking, documentation, and timely responses for active leaves of absence and incoming requests.
- Work closely with employee managers to support employees who go on leave and answer all leave‑related questions about state and federal regulations, healthcare providers.
- Arrange approval of employee leaves and project code to properly track them in the system of record according to leave types.
- Act as subject‑matter expert on all aspects of state and federal leave mandates as well as company leave policies and benefits.
- Continuously develop leave‑management and compliance knowledge, stay current with changes in leave regulations, and update company policy, procedure, and guidelines.
- Evaluate, update, and develop leave‑related policies, forms, documents, or communications to remain in compliance with company policy, state, local, and federal law.
- Coordinate with the payroll team to ensure pay and use of PTO (or other leave codes) reflect the actual leave schedule, and collaborate on the true‑up and reconciliation process when the employee returns to work.
- Four‑year BA/BS degree in General Business, Finance, or HR.
- Three to five years of benefits and leave administration experience, including FMLA, health, disability, life, and 401(k) as well as ancillary benefits.
- Customer‑service orientation in a high‑growth, high‑touch organization.
- Strong accuracy, time management, and timely follow‑up skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and quickly adaptable to other finance and accounting systems (ADP, Netsuite, Oracle Enterprise Cloud).
- Working knowledge of payroll systems, with experience in ADP preferred.
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented; high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to multi‑task, manage benefits projects, and handle ad‑hoc requests accurately and on time.
- Capable of quickly comprehending new information and technologies.
- Capable of working in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, comfortable collaborating with operations teams and non‑accounting professionals.
- Ability to keep payroll and human resource information confidential.
- Demonstrated trust, integrity, open communication, respect, and a desire to foster teamwork.

- Salary Range: $87,686 - $131,529
