Overview
Akkodis is seeking an Azure Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Bellevue, WA. Candidates must have strong hands-on experience with Fabric, ADF, and PySpark to design ETL pipelines, optimize data models, and support Power BI reporting.
Rate Range: $56/hour to $57/hour. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Synapse to support batch and incremental data ingestion.
- Develop and optimize lakehouse architectures leveraging One Lake, SQL, and PySpark for scalable, enterprise-level analytics.
- Perform data transformation, enrichment, and modeling using PySpark notebooks and SQL to deliver high-quality, analytics-ready datasets.
- Implement semantic data models and Power BI integrations to enable self-service analytics and business reporting.
- Ensure data security, governance, and compliance by applying role-based access, managed identities, and Microsoft Purview policies.
- Monitor and optimize performance, cost efficiency, and reliability of Fabric workloads by analyzing Synapse DMVs and implementing proactive alerting mechanisms.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience working as an Azure Data Engineer with enterprise-scale data platforms.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL, ETL, and PySpark for data integration and analytics.
- Proven experience in implementing secure, scalable data architectures, enabling Power BI reporting, and collaborating with customers to deliver analytics solutions.

Pay Details: $56.00 to $57.00 per hour
