About the role:

A Senior Infrastructure Engineer solves complex business needs by delivering quality solutions with minimal guidance and supervision. They contribute to design elements, leverage engineering best practices, and elevate team processes. They are excellent problem-solvers and can mentor others.

• Delivers, or manages the delivery of, Incident and Problem resolution in accordance with SLA’s and always with an appropriate sense of urgency. Provides, or approves the provision of, root cause analyses.
• Demonstrate a strong working understanding of VMware virtual infrastructure, including, but not limited to, vCenter Server Appliance, vRealize Operations Manager (vROps), ESXi, and Update Manager.
• Administer and support hybrid cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on AWS Cloud operations, including:
• EC2, EBS, S3, FSx, Route 53, VPC, IAM, Cloud Watch, and AWS Backup
• Operational monitoring, cost optimization, security best practices, and availability/recovery design
• Integration of on-premise infrastructure with AWS (hybrid connectivity, backup, DR, and migration scenarios).
• Maintain, monitor, and restore virtual machine and cloud workloads, including backups, snapshots, replication, and disaster recovery. Demonstrated experience with enterprise backup platforms such as Cohesity or equivalent cloud-native backup services.
• Define and deliver, or manage the definition and delivery of, metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure infrastructure health, availability, performance, and cost efficiency. Continuously ensure platforms meet or exceed SLA, KPI, and operational performance standards.
• Issue, install, renew, and manage SSL/TLS certificates for both internal and external-facing systems, ensuring compliance with security standards, certificate authority requirements, and expiration timelines.
• Possess a strong understanding of Active Directory services, including users, DFS, DNS, and Certificate Authority (CA), with the ability to administer or support these services as required.
• Monitor, or manage the monitoring of, daily, weekly, and monthly operational activities across on-premise and cloud environments. Proactively identify abnormal patterns or trends and act—or manage service providers to act—swiftly to remediate risks.
• Participate in a reasonable on-call rotation, supporting critical infrastructure services across data center and cloud platforms.
• Acts, or manages a provider to act, as an asset life-cycle manager and steward:
  Develops and continuously updates an asset life-cycle road-map. Strategically predicts the requirement/need for upgrades or replacement due to capability, alignment to business purpose, version, age, or vendor end-of-support condition.
• Serve as the bridge between application teams and the managed service provider, ensuring clear communication, timely resolution of issues, and effective coordination of changes and upgrades.
• Create partnerships with both service providers and development community to remediate asset aging, requirement for upgrades, and end-of-life conditions. Plan strategically and implement tactically to ensure assets consistently operate in a fully supported condition and are technically optimized according to prevailing business requirements.?
• Implements, or manages the implementation of, the tactical elements of the strategic capacity forecast; continuously adjusts to abnormal capacity patterns or trends.

Pay Range: $70 to $75 per hour, depending upon experience. Health & Medical Benefits, 401K, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Time applicable by state.
