The Cloud Network Engineer with Dev Ops experience specializes in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based network infrastructure with a strong focus on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform firewalls. This position requires deep expertise in multi-cloud networking, security, and workload migration to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Architect, deploy, and manage secure cloud network infrastructures on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Configure and manage cloud-native firewalls, including AWS Network Firewall, Azure Firewall, and Google Cloud Firewall.
- Design and configuring AWS Direct Connect, Azure Express Route, and Google Cloud interconnects.
- Design and implement secure, scalable VPCs, subnets, and network security groups.
- Lead the migration of workloads and applications to operate behind cloud firewalls, ensuring seamless connectivity and security.
- Leverage Terraform to create, manage, and version Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for multi-cloud environments.
- Integrate IaC into CI/CD workflows to automate provisioning and scaling of cloud resources.
- Collaborate with Dev Ops teams to implement tools for configuration management, monitoring, and automation.
- Design and enforce security policies using cloud-native tools like AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, and Google Cloud Platform Security Command Center.
- Perform regular audits of firewall configurations to ensure adherence to security and compliance requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network-related security incidents.
- Optimize network performance through monitoring and tuning of cloud networking components.
- Work closely with cloud architects, developers, and IT teams to align networking solutions with business objectives.
- Recommend best practices and emerging tools to enhance cloud network security and performance.
Required
Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience in cloud network engineering, including hands-on expertise with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform Networks and firewalls.
- Proven track record of migrating workloads and applications behind cloud firewalls.
- Proficiency with Terraform for IaC and version control systems like Git.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, HTTP, SSL) and security concepts.
- Experience with Dev Ops practices, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) platforms like AKS, EKS, PKS or Open Shift etc.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Cloud Watch, Azure Monitor, Google Cloud Platform Operations Suite).
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or Terraform Associate.
- Experience in hybrid and multi-cloud networking.
- Scripting experience (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
- Knowledge of SD-WAN and software-defined networking principles.
