Position: Delivery Practice Manager - Application Modernization, AWS Professional Services

Overview

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (Pro Serve) team is seeking an experienced Delivery Practice Manager (DPM) to join our Pro Serve Shared Delivery Team (SDT) at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you ll manage a team of Pro Serve Delivery Consultants while supporting AWS enterprise customers through transformative projects. You ll leverage your IT and/or Management Consulting background to serve as a strategic advisor to customers, partners, and internal AWS teams.

Responsibilities
  • Build and manage a high-performing team of Delivery Consultants
  • Collaborate with Delivery Consultants, Engagement Managers, Account Executives, and Cloud Architects to deploy solutions and provide input on new features
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of innovative, forward-looking IT strategies for customers
  • Manage practice P&L, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery of customer engagements
  • Drive business development initiatives and exceed customer satisfaction targets

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field
  • 8+ years of people leadership, or 3+ years of IT and/or Management Consulting experience
  • Experience coordinating and leading large-scale Digital or Global IT Transformation initiatives
  • 7+ years of working with Enterprise Application Modernization and Migration technologies, including, but not limited to, Mainframe, Serverless, Containers, or Cloud Operations experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • AWS Associate level certification or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • Experience in project management including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing own tasks and those of other team members for multiple projects
  • Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
  • Experience building strategic relationships with stakeholders, including communicating and collaborating across teams and functions
  • Experience identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing opportunities across a wide spectrum of customer engagement levels
  • Experience working with, presenting to, and negotiating with C-level executives, IT, lines of business, procurement, finance, legal and internal stakeholders for sizeable commercial/enterprise deals
