Business Intelligence Developer

We are seeking a skilled Tableau Developer with expertise in embedding Tableau dashboards and implementing Row-Level Security (RLS). The ideal candidate will ensure secure, scalable, and user-friendly analytics delivery while collaborating with cross‑functional teams, including engineering, product, and security.

• Design, develop, optimize, and maintain Tableau dashboards and visual analytics aligned with business requirements.
• Apply advanced Tableau features including LOD expressions, table calculations, parameters, and dashboard actions.
• Ensure dashboards meet enterprise standards for performance, usability, scalability, and visual consistency.
• Troubleshoot and optimize dashboard performance and data refresh processes.

• Embed Tableau dashboards into internal and customer‑facing applications using:
  • iFrame integrations
  • Extensions API and custom components
• Collaborate with application engineers to implement seamless authentication, navigation, and user experiences.
• Partner with product teams to prototype embedded analytics features and iterate based on user feedback.
• Support multi‑tenant and role‑based embedded analytics use cases.

• Architect, implement, and maintain row‑level security and role‑based access controls in Tableau Server/Cloud.
• Design scalable RLS frameworks to support enterprise and multi‑tenant data models.
• Work with data engineering teams to structure data sources and models that support secure, performant RLS.
• Monitor and validate access controls to ensure data is visible only to authorized users.

• Collaborate with data engineering teams to design and optimize data models, database views, and Tableau extracts.
• Troubleshoot data quality and consistency issues across upstream systems.
• Write and optimize SQL to support Tableau dashboards and embedded analytics.
• Work with cloud data platforms and ETL pipelines to ensure reliable data delivery.

• Partner with security and platform teams to ensure embedded analytics meet enterprise security and compliance standards.
• Support SSO, SAML, OAuth, and application‑level authentication patterns.
• Document Tableau configurations, embedding workflows, data models, and RLS logic.
• Contribute to best practices and standards for Tableau development and embedded analytics.

• 4–8+ years of hands‑on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud.
• Strong experience embedding Tableau dashboards within web or enterprise applications.
• Proven expertise designing and implementing Row‑Level Security (RLS) models.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with databases such as Postgre
  
  SQL, SQL Server, Snowflake, or Oracle.
• Solid understanding of authentication and authorization concepts including SSO, SAML, and OAuth.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure Tableau solutions.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience working with cross‑functional teams.
