Technical Instructional Designer, NACF Ops

Overview

North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) is seeking a Technical Instructional Designer (Tech ) for the Central Ops Learning team to develop scalable learning products for Associate process path training. The role will think big, invent solutions, and deliver results for Tier 1 Amazon Associates across North America.

• Conduct needs analyses to understand customer learning needs, document workflow processes, and identify both foundational and in-the-flow-of-work learning moments of need.
• Leverage API calls, JavaScript, Python, and other technologies to automate, streamline, and improve learning development and delivery.
• Design and develop online learning experiences that align with learning outcomes, apply research‑based learning principles, and measure learning in online environments.
• Use eLearning and GenAI authoring tools to build online learning experiences that include assessments, interactive activities, multimedia assets, and text‑based content.
• Stay current on developments in learning science, design, and technologies.

Central Ops delivers process path training to millions of Amazon Associates, ensuring they know how to execute responsibilities and build confidence, psychological and physical safety. The team’s mission is to help each Associate succeed by providing a world‑class learning experience.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Technical Training, Design, or a related field.
• 3+ years of work experience with Articulate Storyline and in instructional design.
• Familiarity and experience with leveraging AI tools to streamline and improve work processes.

• Master’s Degree in a related discipline (instructional design or adult education).
• Expert proficiency with API calls, JavaScript, Python, GenAI, and related technologies for automation.
• Coding experience developing websites, apps, or digital products using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, or related languages.
• Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, or content‑specific areas.
• Project management experience: planning, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, and delivering results.
• Experience with testing or validation processes and procedures, including end‑to‑end system integration.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and location.
