The RoleWe are looking for a senior site reliability engineer to expand our global datacenter footprint and improve service management across Cognitiv. The primary focus is to rapidly scale our hybrid cloud infrastructure and drive long‑term service management improvements. This position is based in our Bellevue, WA office with a hybrid schedule of three days in‑office (Mon/Tue/Wed) and two days remote (Thu/Fri).
Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure across a growing footprint of co‑located deployments.
- Evaluate existing physical and network architectures to ensure long‑term scalability and growth.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to scope projects tightly to core business requirements.
- Lead organization‑wide initiatives to improve service management surrounding deployments, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
- Monitor and maintain shared infrastructure in our AWS environment.
- Understanding of modern datacenter practices and experience configuring multi‑datacenter deployments.
- Deep knowledge of AWS infrastructure, networking, and management practices.
- Proven experience with infrastructure as code and proficiency with Python and Bash.
- Independent self‑starter who takes ownership and proactively seeks out new challenges with creative solutions.
- Strong team‑player with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- 10+ years of experience in operations, software engineering, or site reliability engineering.
- Experience with hybrid cloud/on‑prem solutions.
- Hands‑on experience building out data‑centers.
- Willingness to travel 1–2 times per quarter.
USD 160,000 – 210,000 base salary + equity.
