The Senior Systems Engineer – Applications is responsible for the delivery, administration, and optimization of business applications that support plant operations and related enterprise functions, with primary ownership of computer guided procedure/work execution capabilities delivered through the Next Axiom Dynamic Work Execution Platform (DWEP), including the Dynamic Instructions (DI) product line and Hyper Service capabilities.
This role ensures the availability, performance, and reliability of mission-critical business applications, supports implementation and upgrade projects, and provides advanced technical leadership in application management. You will collaborate closely with plant operations teams, business users, IT teams, and vendors to implement, configure, and support enterprise applications hosted in on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Required Skills- Hands‑on experience with ERP/EAM systems such as Oracle, IBM Maximo, Asset Suite.
- Proficiency in SQL, scripting (Power Shell, Python, Bash), and integration tools (APIs, ETL, Hyper Service middleware).
- Own and support the application stack for Hyper Service/DWEP, including services built on Node.js, Java, and hosted on Apache Tomcat.
- Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS) and hybrid environments.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., Service Now) and ITIL processes.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for enterprise systems.
- Demonstrated ability to use digital tooling to convert, author, test, and optimize computer‑based procedures.
- Strong knowledge of procedure development, work package creation, and work process documentation within a regulated industry.
