Job Details About SalesforceSalesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we’re looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce’s core values at the heart of it all.
OverviewOf
The Role
This is a strategic product leadership role designed to serve as the connective tissue across a portfolio of AI-powered products and platform capabilities. Rather than owning a single product roadmap, this leader operates as a portfolio-level orchestrator — ensuring that products built across operating units work together as a coherent system. The role spans cross-cutting domains including AI/ML functionality, identity and access management, security architecture, and platform processes, with an additional lens on pricing coherence and acquisition target evaluation.
Responsibilities- Identify misalignments across product teams in AI functionality, identity, security, data architecture, and platform APIs
- Facilitate cross‑functional product reviews and governance processes to surface and resolve conflicts before they reach customers
- Maintain a living map of portfolio capabilities, overlaps, gaps, and interdependencies
- Apply basic program management rigor to keep alignment work streams and stakeholder commitments on track
- Serve as a trusted advisor to product GMs and business unit leaders on portfolio‑level implications of local roadmap decisions
- Represent product portfolio coherence in executive and board‑level planning conversations
- Partner with pricing, finance, and product leadership to flag inconsistencies or risks in cross‑portfolio packaging and pricing
- Advocate for portfolio‑level pricing logic without owning pricing decisions directly
- Conduct structured capability gap assessments against market and competitive benchmarks
- Identify and prioritize acquisition or partnership targets that could address strategic gaps
- Support corporate development with product‑side due diligence on inbound and outbound targets
- 8–12 years of experience in product management, product strategy, or a closely related function
- Background at a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, Salesforce, Service Now, or equivalent) strongly preferred — deep familiarity with how platform ecosystems are architected and governed
- Demonstrated experience working across product lines or in a horizontal/platform PM capacity
- Fluency in identity, security, and AI/ML product domains — engineering depth not required, but technical literacy is essential
- Proven ability to influence without authority — succeeds by building trust and making alignment obvious, not by controlling resources
- Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable operating in executive settings
- Experience supporting or leading M&A; due diligence from the product side is a strong plus
