D&G is seeking a Joint Training Tool (JTT) SME / Master Exercise Scenario List (MSEL) Administrator to support the planning, coordination, and execution of complex Joint training exercises. This role is critical to ensuring realism, synchronization, and disciplined scenario management through expert administration of JTT processes and MSEL development. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of Joint Training directives, exercise control procedures, and scenario management best practices to support mission-focused training objectives.
WhatYou Will Do
- Provide subject matter expertise on Joint Training Tool (JTT) operations and Master Exercise Scenario List (MSEL) development and administration.
- Develop, author, and maintain JTT training materials, user guides, and support documentation.
- Design, build, manage, and synchronize MSEL products supporting exercise objectives and operational realism.
- Coordinate inject development with planners, controllers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with training goals and timelines.
- Manage MSEL delivery schedules, updates, distribution, and real‑time modifications during exercise execution.
- Maintain configuration control and version management for MSEL products and exercise materials.
- Support exercise planning meetings, rehearsals, execution activities, and after‑action reviews.
- Provide recommendations to improve exercise synchronization, training effectiveness, and lessons learned integration.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Joint Training directives, policies, and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree in military studies, Training Management, Strategic Studies, or related field preferred; equivalent military operational or training experience may be substituted.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience within the last 10 years supporting Joint Training programs, exercises, or operational training activities.
- Demonstrated understanding of CJCS 3500 series Joint Training directives and/or major command Joint Training Program or Lessons Learned Program Instructions.
- Experience authoring and updating JTT training materials and exercise support documentation.
- Experience designing, maintaining, and administering Master Exercise Scenario Lists (MSELs).
- Experience coordinating exercise injects and synchronizing scenario events with operational objectives.
- Experience managing MSEL updates, configuration control, and version management during live exercise execution.
- Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills in high‑tempo operational environments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with planners, EXCON teams, and operational stakeholders.
- Experience supporting Joint or Combatant Command exercises and training events.
- Familiarity with Exercise Control Group (EXCON) operations and distributed training environments.
- Experience supporting lessons learned programs, operational assessments, or training evaluation activities.
- Prior military experience in operations, training management, or exercise planning support roles.
Active TS/SCI clearance required. This role is restricted to U.S. person(s) (U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
