SAP BTP RAP Lead Developer

Overview

SAP BTP; ABAP; RAP. Digital: SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI). ABAP BTP Lead with strong expertise in RAP, CDS, and OData V4, responsible for designing and delivering scalable enterprise applications on SAP BTP. Drives technical leadership, solution design, and team excellence across integration, cloud-native development, and Dev Ops practices.

• Provide technical leadership and hands-on expertise in designing, building, and delivering enterprise-grade applications on SAP BTP using the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).
• Lead architecture, solution design, and delivery across integration, cloud-native development, and Dev Ops practices.
• Guide role descriptions and collaboration with SAP BTP lead teams; ensure code quality, governance, and performance.
• Plan tasks, assign work, and execute sprints; enforce code quality and conduct peer reviews.
• Conduct regular one-on-one coaching and performance support.
• Build team capability in RAP, BTP services, integration, and cloud-native ABAP; set and enforce development standards and quality gates.
• Foster an engineering culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Core Expertise:
  Strong hands-on expertise in SAP RAP; managed and unmanaged scenarios.
• Deep knowledge of CDS Views, annotations, behavior definitions, metadata extensions, and extensibility concepts.
• Proven experience building OData V4 services; experience consuming OData services using Fiori Elements and SAPUI

• SAP BTP Integration:
  Integration with SAP S/4
  
  HANA and SAP ECC; CPI, API Management, Event Mesh, Destination Service;
  Identity and Access Services (IAS/IPS).
• Cloud-native design principles and multitenant architecture on SAP BTP.
• Development:
  Experience with gCTS or ABAP Git; strong debugging, performance tuning, and production support skills.
• Leadership:
  Delivery planning and coordination.
