Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, serving a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.

It’s Day 1 for Amazon’s next billion dollar business and we are looking for a Sr SAP FICO Product Manager to work in a start-up environment. As the FI & CO expert, you will have the functional and technical background to work with technology and the ability to think broadly and strategically about Amazon Leo initiatives. You will solve a wide range of problems requiring an understanding of business processes and SAP configuration, design solutions, enhance, and provide production support.

You will work closely with other SAP functional areas while designing and/or enhancing and supporting these systems, which is critical for scalability and cost-effective manufacturing of satellites and ground gateway terminals. To be successful, you need to be highly motivated, detail oriented, and an effective communicator.

• Build SAP-based product vision and solutions
• Identify and implement best practices to optimize business processes using SAP and champion utility, intuitiveness, and simplicity of processes/products
• Conduct blueprint workshops, fit-gap analysis and produce detailed design documents addressing core needs
• Identify change management and training needs, support creating training documentation, and lead train-the-trainer sessions for product changes
• Participate in strategic planning and roadmap discussions for SAP solutions, including contributions to Amazon 1- to 3-year planning
• Manage quarter planning, sprint planning, and deployment for product feature enhancements with business value and impact considerations
• Define critical metrics including success metrics, product adoption, and data-driven insights for product improvement
• Prepare product design, functional specifications, configure, test, and support implementation for all SAP RICEFW areas
• Build and support integration with cross-workstream processes – SAP PP, EWM, MM, SAP MES system
• Support SAP production system for ticket resolutions and business support needs; identify product improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with the team to share knowledge and contribute to collective success
• Manage a portfolio of projects related to SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) from design to deployment, including integration with Amazon Corporate systems
• Build deployment project plans and manage risks impacting successful delivery
• Develop use cases by gathering business requirements, work with software development to build required features, communicate dependencies, and manage/track exceptions
• Participate in and facilitate Proof of Concepts (POCs) to ensure proposed solutions meet business requirements using SAP S/4
• Actively participate in Unit Test, System Integration Test, User Acceptance Test, and User Training
• Apply strong knowledge of business processes for designing, developing, and testing SAP S/4 HANA ERP functionality, including expertise in general ledger, accounts payable, project system, cost center accounting, product cost controlling, and profit center accounting
• Configure SAP S/4 HANA FICO to meet business requirements, including integration with PP, MM, PS, and SD and other modules, following SAP best practices
• Navigate ambiguity and drive consensus between cross-functional stakeholder groups

Gather requirements from Finance, Accounting & Tax teams and collaborate with other functional teams for high-level design; configure SAP to business requirements; validate and deliver user trainings.
