Overview
Tanium is growing and seeking a dynamic IT Systems Business Analyst to lead strategic projects supporting the company’s objectives. The Analyst will partner with stakeholders to deliver insightful analysis, identify inefficiencies, and drive automation. Key responsibilities include eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements; creating and maintaining process flow diagrams; and organizing user stories for solution design. The role requires building trusted partnerships, clear communication, and proactive status updates.
An understanding of the broader IT landscape—including SDLC and interdepartmental dependencies—is essential to identify synergy opportunities and minimize duplication. The position follows a hybrid schedule requiring in‑office work at one of the following locations a minimum of three days per week:
Addison, TX;
Bellevue, WA;
Durham, NC;
Emeryville, CA; or Reston, VA.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Develop and present detailed business requirements and project proposals to support decision‑making.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams to design, implement, and monitor solutions that enhance business performance.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including process maps, workflow diagrams, and project reports.
- Write use cases/test cases and guide stakeholders through user acceptance testing.
- Create and present current, transition, and future state architectural diagrams to stakeholders.
- Provide first line support and manage tickets pertaining to the Data Engineering team.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Exceptional documentation skills with emphasis on business requirements and process flows.
- Experience with data analytics, data engineering, pipelines, integrations, and data warehousing.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical work across critical processes with an emphasis on the IT technology stack.
- Proficiency with enterprise technologies such as Microsoft, Net Suite, Snowflake, Zip, Success Factors, Salesforce, Service Now, etc.
- Experience with data mapping and integration.
- Excellent communication skills.
- 3+ years of experience in a related field and with common IT technologies.
- Understanding of SOX and ITGC compliance.
The annual base salary range for this full‑time position is $101,000 to $155,000, with potential adjustments based on location, education, skills, and experience.
