Role Overview

Lead II – Software Testing position requiring 7+ years of software testing experience with an automation‑first mindset and knowledge of AWS, Azure or on‑prem data sources.

Key Requirements
  • 7+ years’ experience in software testing
  • Automation‑first approach
  • Experience working on AWS, Azure or on‑prem data sources
  • Must have experience using AWS/Azure web console
  • Nice to have: knowledge of AWS S3, DynamoDB, Azure SQL DB
  • 3‑4 years of hands‑on programming and automation scripting using JAVA, NodeJS, Go or Python
  • Ability to apply TDD and BDD concepts to create repeatable, fail‑fast test suites
  • At least 2 years of experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (Postman, SOAPUI, Selenium or similar)
  • Experience with non‑UI automation scripting preferred
  • Experience building and executing automated and performance tests for API‑based services
  • Exposure to relational and non‑relational databases:
    Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB for query/import/export data
  • Ability to set up and manage test data for testing purposes
  • Familiarity with configuring CI tools such as Git Lab, Git Hub or Jenkins
  • Hands‑on experience with Eclipse or other IDE development tools
  • Experience with distributed source control systems such as Git
  • Proven experience with defect management and triage
  • Proven experience working with JIRA and Confluence
  • Proven experience working as part of an Agile Scrum team in a fast‑paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent education and work experience

Responsibilities & Expectations
  • Create test estimates and schedules
  • Identify business processes, conduct risk analysis, and ensure test coverage
  • Ensure adherence to processes and standards
  • Produce test results, defect reports, test logs and reports for evidence of testing
  • Publish RCA reports and preventive measures
  • Report progress of testing
  • Contribute to revenue savings for the client by suggesting alternate methods
  • Ensure quality of deliverables
  • Participate in review, walkthrough, demo and obtain sign‑off by stakeholder for test design
  • Prepare test summary report for modules/features
  • Analyze, prioritize, identify gaps and create workflow diagrams based on requirements/user stories
  • Participate in test management and coordinate test environment and test data provisioning
  • Identify test scenarios, create RTM, and prepare test plans
  • Identify end‑to‑end business critical scenarios with minimal support
  • Conduct root‑cause and trend analysis of defects
  • Prepare estimates, schedules, and identify dependencies
  • Consume, contribute, and review best practices, lessons learned, and retrospectives
  • Coordinate governance calls and represent issues for the team
