Job Overview

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (Pro Serve) team is seeking a skilled Sr. Delivery Consultant – Application Modernization to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you will work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives, driving customer success throughout the project lifecycle.

• Lead the design and implementation of complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Share knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts.

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience.
• 5+ years of architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI).
• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure.
• Experience leading application architecture/design/modernization projects, including cloud-based solutioning with AI and automation.

• Associate's degree or higher, or AWS Professional level certification.
• Knowledge of compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape.
• Proficiency in a wide range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, Cloud Formation).
• Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python).
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience leading large‑scale software development and modernization initiatives, with expertise in multiple programming languages and generative AI tools/technologies.
• Proven ability to lead software engineering best practices across testing, source control, code reviews, and deployment/release management processes.
