The IT Systems Engineer II requires proven experience, outstanding customer service, and personal communication skills. The successful candidate is a leader who identifies problems, participates in designing solutions, and holds themselves accountable. You will work onsite and remotely, engaging with clients, solving problems, and building solutions. You will be encouraged to continuously learn, emphasizing proactive, responsive, and preventative practices, with security as a foundational focus.
Qualifications- Previous managed service provider (MSP) experience, 5+ years hands‑on experience.
- Setting up, configuring, troubleshooting networks, Windows servers, workstations, Active Directory, and O365.
- Deep experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper‑V.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS.
- Setting up, configuring firewalls such as Sonicwall, Sophos, Watchguard, Fortinet, and Cisco.
- Backup technologies including cloud‑based backups such as Datto and Veeam.
- Experience with RMM (remote monitoring and management) such as Kaseya and ticketing systems such as Autotask or Connect Wise.
- Provided exceptional customer service and technical expertise on inbound calls and tickets generated by customers.
- Performed onsite systems, network, and security assessments using standard best practices and industry standard tools (e.g., Network Detective/Rapid Fire).
- Possesses strong leadership, organizational, and time‑management skills.
- Results‑oriented, self‑motivated, energetic, professional, reliable, and a team player.
- Sales training/experience is a plus.
- CompTIA Network+ and/or CompTIA Security+
- CCNA or CCIE‑Cisco certifications
- Microsoft certifications for Microsoft 365, Azure, and Security
Work is performed in our Bellevue office and at client sites primarily located in Bellevue, Redmond, and Kirkland. Occasionally work may be in the greater Puget Sound area.
