T-Mobile is looking for a dynamic and technically fluent Manager to lead our Marketing Technology team—a critical group that drives the data and infrastructure powering our marketing engine. The role involves overseeing web analytics, pixel creation and tracking, media reporting, and integrations across CRM and media platforms. The Manager will lead a team of engineers and analysts, partnering closely with Marketing, Media, Data Science, and Engineering to ensure our tech stack is best‑in‑class, our data is reliable, and our campaigns are measurable.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a software engineering team to deliver projects on time and within budget, providing coaching and performance management.
  • Drive improvements in development practices, including team structure, processes, tooling, security, and compliance to enhance efficiency.
  • Oversee technical vendor relationships to influence product features and ensure alignment with technical requirements.
  • Recruit and onboard qualified team members to strengthen team capabilities and support project demands.
  • Lead the strategy, governance, and implementation of the web analytics infrastructure, ensuring accurate data collection across web and mobile properties and driving adoption of analytics insights through dashboards and reporting.
  • Own end‑to‑end media tracking infrastructure and reporting solutions across paid channels (search, social, display, video, affiliate), establishing standardized UTM frameworks and driving multi‑touch attribution and media mix modeling initiatives.
  • Oversee integrations between CRM platforms, media buying tools, and internal data infrastructure, and lead Mar Tech platform evaluation, onboarding, and CDP capabilities for audience segmentation, activation, and personalization.
  • Serve as the primary Mar Tech domain expert across Marketing, Media, Digital, IT, and Data teams, contributing to roadmap planning, budgeting, and vendor negotiations while translating emerging industry trends—privacy, signal loss, AI, identity resolution—into actionable strategies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by business management.
Education and Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of related work experience, or an advanced degree and 3 years of related experience (Required).
  • Acceptable areas of study include Marketing, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Required).
  • 4–7 years of experience in an analytics and business intelligence development environment (Required).
  • Less than 2 years of experience managing a team of 15 or more developers (Required).
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Hands‑on experience with web analytics platforms and SQL for data querying and reporting (Required).
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Mar Tech engineers, analysts, and specialists; less than 2 years of experience managing a software development team of 15+ (Required).
  • Manage software licenses, contractor relationships, and tooling budgets across a complex Mar Tech stack (Required).
  • Deep knowledge of tag management systems and understanding of data privacy regulations (CCPA, GDPR) and their impact on tracking and measurement (Required).
  • Good understanding of digital advertising ecosystems—paid search, paid social, programmatic, affiliate (Required).
  • Experience managing CRM and/or media platform integrations (Required).
  • Business metrics, collaboration, customer delivery, and technical writing (Required).
  • Experience in telecommunications, wireless, or a high‑volume DTC/e‑commerce environment (Preferred).
  • Familiarity with customer data platforms (Preferred).
  • Knowledge of server‑side tagging, conversion APIs, and privacy‑safe measurement solutions (Preferred).
  • Exposure to media mix modeling and multi‑touch attribution methodologies (Preferred).
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI (Preferred).
