Description
Help millions of Ring and Blink customers securely access their accounts and devices — faster and with fewer frustrations. As a Product Manager - Technical on our Security & Privacy team, you'll own the authentication and device transfer experiences that customers interact with every day.
Our team designs trustful customer experiences. We do the right thing for our customers and put them in control of their data. The challenge? Finding the right balance between protecting customer accounts and data with delivering experiences that feel effortless. That tension is at the heart of everything you'll work on.
As the product owner, you'll inherit existing strategies and make them yours — challenge assumptions, update direction, and define what comes next. You'll have the room to dig into the data, reassess scope, and drive the decisions that shape these products. As our organization accelerates its AI-Build transformation, you'll experiment with AI tools to accelerate product delivery and push boundaries on how we build.
Whythis role stands out:
- Your products directly protect customer data and strengthen trust for millions of users
- You’ll build net-new experiences where the product strategy is yours to define
- You’ll navigate the tension between strong security and seamless customer experience — every day
- You’ll partner with Customer Support teams to reduce call volume by designing better self‑service experiences
- You’ll work in an AI‑first environment — experimenting with AI tools to move faster and rethink how products are built
- Strategic visibility:
Report to the Trust, Privacy, and Accessibility (TPA) organization while delivering features for Ring, Blink, Key, and Sidewalk (RBKS) products
- Product Ownership:
Own the lifecycle of Ring and Blink authentication flows (password + OTP) and device ownership transfer experiences. Define roadmap priorities, success criteria, and trade‑offs between security and customer experience. - Strategic Assessment:
Evaluate existing strategies, challenge assumptions, and determine whether to improve current solutions or introduce new ones. Drive clarity where ambiguity exists. - Cross‑Functional
Collaboration:
Partner with Engineering, Design, Legal, Security, Privacy, Customer Experience, and Operations teams to deliver the right solutions. Align stakeholders on approach and priorities. - Customer Support Reduction:
Identify and design product improvements that reduce CS call volume related to sign‑in, account creation, and device transfer. - Data‑Driven Decisions:
Define metrics and mechanisms to measure product health, adoption, and customer friction. Use data to prioritize and justify investment. - Technical Partnership:
Work with engineering teams to assess technical feasibility, understand system constraints, and ensure solutions scale. Partner with TPMs on delivery of emerging authentication programs. - Build from Scratch:
Take over in‑progress product definitions (e.g., deceased account holder device transfer) and drive them from concept to launch. - AI‑First Product Development:
Operate within the pioneering RBKS Builders model — a new way of working that reshapes collaboration between PMs, TPMs, and engineers to accelerate delivery. Leverage AI tools to build prototypes, draft product/tech documentation, and compress development timelines.
Your primary focus is making sign‑in and device transfer work better for customers. You’ll analyze authentication data to spot friction points, run trade‑off discussions with engineers and designers, align with legal and privacy teams on sensitive flows, draft product requirements, and shape tech designs. You’ll build prototypes and accelerate engineering implementation. AI tools — such as Amazon Quick, Claude, Kiro, and Cursor — support you at every step, helping you move faster from insight to decision to delivery.
Beyond the day‑to‑day, you’ll step back to assess whether your products need a new direction — and make the call when they do.
The Prod Sec team sits at the intersection of product innovation and customer trust. We’re a collaborative group of product and program managers…
