Description
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (Pro Serve) team is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to lead complex cloud solution projects, combining technical expertise with strong project leadership skills to drive successful AWS-based implementations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage complex cloud migration and implementation projects.
- Leverage comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning.
- Bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes.
- Distill customer needs into clear technical requirements and map them to business outcomes.
- Decompose complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions.
- Contribute to technical documentation and define documentation standards.
- 8+ years of cloud computing experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field.
- Experience managing and delivering large-scale enterprise IT projects.
- Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g., security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA).
- Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies.
- Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies.
- Experience implementing AWS services in diverse distributed computing environments.
- Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and identifying relationships between business services, information, applications, and global infrastructure assets.
- Experience in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments.
- Experience communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences in pre-sales environments.
- AWS Professional-level certification or degree in advanced technology.
- Knowledge of compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape.
