Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable broadband connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From households to small businesses, schools, hospitals, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve communities and organizations operating in places without dependable internet access.

The Amazon Leo Business-to-Business (B2B) team is looking for a talented individual for a high-visibility role to define the team’s business intelligence (BI) vision, strategy, and best practices across a number of business domains. You will develop and optimize models to forecast revenue, product mix, and sales pipelines for business and operational planning across multiple countries. You will flex to instrument metrics and insights for business reviews (e.g. automated dashboards) and play a key role in creating scalable mechanisms for different B2B disciplines.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable with high degrees of ambiguity, going deep across multiple business teams, and will uphold high standards across a wide range of domains. They are comfortable working with data science and engineering teams to use data and infrastructure environments as well as with business audiences to quantify business impact and establish roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop pre-launch and post-launch reporting methodologies for revenue attainment, sales forecasts, labor demand and capacity management, product and service plan mix, and seasonality.
  • Analyze large data sets to identify patterns and drive strategic shifts in business practices, impacting key decisions and customer experience.
  • Drive actions at scale to optimize forecast methodology and drive improvements to forecast reliability.
  • Create recurring competitive insights and actionable trend analysis.
  • Write queries to extract data and insights combining datasets within Amazon Leo with publicly available datasets.
  • Design, build, and maintain automated reporting, dashboards, and recurrent analysis to inform and influence data-driven decisions for business operations.
  • Deliver comprehensive, written strategy documents considering different types of data and inputs across a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management audiences (e.g. narratives, inputs into weekly/monthly/quarterly business reviews).
  • Drive best practices in operational excellence, data modeling, and analysis. Ensure that BI solutions are correctly and efficiently supporting the business.
  • Participate in hiring activities and mentor junior team members.

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
