Systems Development Engineer – Identity, Identity
We are currently looking for a Systems Development Engineer to join our systems organization. You will work with internal and external customers to execute projects and resolve issues, applying a dev‑ops model of service engineering. You will run operations in an environment where developers own the full lifecycle and no problems are passed across walls. Your strong ownership bias and desire to continuously improve how things are done will help drive innovation.
AWS Cryptography and Identity is building, delivering, and securing the next generation of cloud computing security, including identity management, federation, web‑services security, and more. The role will allow you to impact some of the world’s largest‑scaled systems and work with demanding global customers to address specific needs across a full suite of services.
Responsibilities include diving deep into technical issues, improving customer experience, and collaborating with best‑class engineers and technical managers. You will work on high‑impact projects and help shape the future of secure cloud computing.
Job qualification:
The selected candidate must possess, and thereafter maintain, an active TS/SCI security clearance (or equivalent clearance for each government agency involved). Current clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or higher is required.
Location:
USA, WA, Bellevue. Salary range: – USD annually. Compensation includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.

Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree (or CSSLP – Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
- 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of designing or architecting systems (including design patterns, reliability, and scaling)
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
- Experience with Power Shell, Python, Ruby, Java, or other modern languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, Power Shell, or Ruby
- Experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum methodology
- 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, and operating systems with hands‑on systems engineering experience
