Applied Scientist Manager, Returns & ReCommerce; Fulfillment & Operations

We are a cross‑functional team dedicated to achieving zero cost of returns, zero waste, and zero defects. We develop groundbreaking products, machine learning models, and operational excellence solutions to help customers keep what they buy, recover returned and damaged product value, and protect the planet.

• Develop customer‑facing and vendor‑facing websites and internal software tools for the reverse‑logistics process.
• Create scalable, high‑availability solutions that solve complex and broad business problems.
• Train machine learning models to automate routing and identify signals that optimize reuse.
• Invent new channels to give products a second life.
• Provide product support that helps customers love what they buy.
• Pilot smarter product evaluations and refine return experience.
• Work from the customer backward to make the return experience remarkably delightful and easy.

• 3+ years of managing scientists or machine learning engineers.
• Knowledge of ML, NLP, information retrieval, and analytics.
• 4+ years of building ML models or developing algorithms for business applications.
• 2+ years of programming in Java, C++, Python or a related language.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to all levels of the organization.

• Experience building ML models or developing algorithms for business applications.
• Experience building complex software systems, especially involving deep learning, machine learning, and computer vision, that have been successfully delivered to customers.
• PhD or Master’s degree and 3+ years of managing scientists or machine learning engineers.

The base salary range for this position is $ – $ USD annually for USA, WA, Bellevue. The package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
