As a Dedicated Cloud Engineer, you will help AWS build the platform that will set the standard for cloud computing. You will make difficult prioritization decisions, iterate and innovate, and think through large-scale globally distributed systems problems. You will provide advanced functionality while maintaining a 100% availability guarantee.

You will be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle and interact with many other engineering teams across Amazon.

This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

• High school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+

• 4+ years of highly scalable systems experience
• Experience in compute and storage server architecture and design for large scale applications
• Experience in managing or implementing system health, performance monitoring, capacity planning, or process improvement and automation
• Understanding of functional programming concepts

The base salary range for this position is $91,000.00 – $ USD annually, depending on location. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
