We sit at the intersection of physical operations and emerging technology – identifying, evaluating, and securing external partnerships, IP licensing deals, and acquisitions that give Amazon a durable competitive edge in how we move packages from warehouse to doorstep.

• Own end‑to‑end evaluation, negotiation, and execution of technology partnerships, IP licensing deals, and acquisitions in logistics automation, sortation, and last‑mile delivery.
• Build the business case for external technology opportunities and align cross‑functional stakeholders (legal, finance, engineering, supply chain, operations).
• Engage in commercial negotiations with technical/engineering counterparts who think in product terms, not deal terms.
• Advise senior leadership on deal quality, risk, and strategic fit.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external technology vendors, potential acquisition targets, and strategic partners.
• Proactively seek new business models and partner opportunities, leveraging domain expertise and independent conviction.
• Lead cross‑functional teams—including Engineering, Operations, Legal, Finance, and senior management—to execute on partnerships.

You will operate at the intersection of emerging technology and commercial deal‑making for Amazon's logistics and operations business. Your day might include evaluating an external automation solution, structuring an IP licensing deal with a technology partner, leading due diligence alongside WWEI engineering, or advising senior leadership on whether to pursue or walk away from a partnership opportunity. You will interact regularly with senior Amazon leaders and executives from external technology companies, and have the ability to influence strategic direction at the executive level.

This is a fast‑paced environment that values deal quality over volume and commercial judgment over process.

The WWEI team is at the forefront of Amazon's technological innovation, pushing boundaries in robotics, AI, and autonomous systems. We work closely with research institutions, startups, and technology leaders to identify and integrate transformative solutions that will define the future of transportation and logistics.

• 7+ years developing, negotiating and executing business agreements.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross‑functional groups to orchestrate and successfully complete deals.
• Experience working with executive leadership in large organizations.
• Deep technical knowledge in at least one focus area: robotics, computer vision, AI, or autonomous systems.

• Experience delivering technology products or services in a high‑growth environment.
• 7+ years of successful technology product work from ideation through launch.
• Experience writing and publishing technical documents or equivalent.
• Experience identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large‑scale technology projects for global customers.
• Advanced degree in a technical field or MBA.
• Experience in transportation technology or autonomous systems.

The base salary range for this position is $ – $ USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
