ADC Manager, ADC Monitoring & Observability

Overview:
Lead the AWS Monitoring & Observability team in Bellevue, Washington. Drive the engineering and operations of mission-critical cloud infrastructure with a focus on reliability, security, and performance. Apply Dev Ops principles to design, deploy, maintain, and deprecate software across development and production environments. Hire, develop, and empower engineers to deliver ownership-driven outcomes and continuous process improvements.

• Hire, motivate, mentor and develop a team of engineers, promoting growth and opportunity
• Define the structure and strategy for the team, determining the right mix of engineers and their allocations to meet business goals
• Establish a roadmap and successfully deliver engineering solutions that execute that vision; participate in annual planning
• Provide the team with the support to own systems end-to-end (design, code quality, system health)
• Develop senior engineers, promoting growth and opportunities for broader scope and leadership
• Work cross-functionally to foster constructive dialogue, harmonize differing views, and resolve contentious issues
• Operate with a data-driven approach, using metrics to identify gaps and drive improvements locally and globally

• Associate's degree, or Cloud+ or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
• 5+ years of relevant hands-on systems engineering and administrative work in networking, storage systems, and operating systems
• 5+ years of systems engineering and operations leadership for an Internet service or leading-edge IT organization
• 5+ years of engineering team management experience
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above

• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• Experience as a technical lead, systems engineer, or technical program manager with significant experience in complex systems
• Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives
• 3+ years of distributed systems experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
