Senior Enterprise Architect

We are seeking an experienced Senior Enterprise Architect with expertise in Cloud Architecture, AWS Gov Cloud, Terraform, IAM, Identity Center, and Enterprise Cloud Strategy. The ideal candidate should have strong experience designing enterprise-scale cloud architectures, leading modernization initiatives, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and driving security, governance, and compliance across AWS Gov Cloud environments. This role involves defining enterprise architecture standards, mentoring engineering teams, and ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant cloud solutions.

Experience

• 12+ years of Enterprise IT experience.
• 6+ years of Cloud Architecture experience.
• Strong expertise in AWS Gov Cloud, Terraform, IAM, and Identity Center.
• Experience designing Landing Zone Accelerator (LZA) and multi-account AWS architectures.
• Strong knowledge of FedRAMP, FISMA, and DoD IL2 compliance frameworks.
• Experience leading enterprise cloud modernization and governance initiatives.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory for AWS Gov Cloud access.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and own enterprise architecture strategy across cloud, security, networking, Dev Ops, and compliance.
• Lead architecture reviews and define enterprise cloud standards.
• Implement AWS Gov Cloud and Landing Zone Accelerator (LZA) architectures.
• Drive Cloud Formation-to-Terraform migration strategy.
• Define governance guardrails using IAM, Identity Center, and Service Control Policies (SCPs).
• Ensure compliance with FedRAMP, FISMA, and DoD IL2 standards.
• Provide technical leadership for Kubernetes platform architecture.
• Produce architecture documentation and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
• Mentor engineering teams and provide technical oversight.
• Support knowledge transfer and enterprise architecture best practices.
