We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with 6+ years of experience in data engineering, database management, business intelligence, and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Kusto, PL/SQL, Power BI, and Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence.

The candidate will be responsible for designing scalable data architectures, developing and optimizing data pipelines, creating Power BI dashboards and reports, implementing Azure policies, and supporting enterprise data and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, implement, and maintain Azure Policies and baseline rules to support enterprise governance, security, and compliance.
• Design and implement scalable, highly available, reliable, and high-performing data architectures.
• Architect, design, develop, and implement information and operational systems supporting core enterprise functions.
• Analyze business requirements and existing application landscapes to identify redundant, inefficient, or ineffective systems.
• Build, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading data from multiple sources into data warehouses and data lakes.
• Develop data migration and system integration strategies for enterprise applications.
• Integrate data from disparate sources, including APIs, flat files, databases, and third-party systems.

  SQL databases, ensuring data consistency, quality, security, and performance.
• Implement data-quality controls and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability.
• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Develop and maintain KPI dashboards that provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.
• Work closely with data scientists, data analysts, business users, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Collaborate with clients and business stakeholders to obtain organizational commitment for technology and system initiatives.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies to meet business and operational requirements.
• Automate repetitive data-processing and operational tasks to improve efficiency and minimize manual intervention.
• Monitor system and pipeline performance, troubleshoot production issues, and support deployment and change-management activities.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for data architectures, processes, pipelines, reports, and systems.
• Provide support through office hours and production support activities, requiring strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Conceptualize technical solutions to complex business and data problems while maximizing the value of technology investments.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Architecture, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data and governance services.
• Experience creating and managing Azure Policies and baseline rules.
• Strong knowledge of Kusto/KQL.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboard, report, KPI, and visualization development.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence, preferably SQL Server 2012 BI technologies.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, data warehousing, data lakes, and data integration.
• Experience working with relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience integrating data through APIs, flat files, and third-party systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work directly with clients and cross-functional teams.

• Experience with Azure data services and cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience with enterprise data migration and integration projects.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and data-quality frameworks.
• Experience automating data engineering and operational processes.
• Experience supporting enterprise production environments.
• Strong understanding of KPI design and business reporting requirements.
