Associate Corporate Counsel, Leo Product and Privacy

Overview

Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. We are looking for an Associate Corporate Counsel to join the Amazon Leo Product and Privacy Legal team, focusing on product and privacy counseling. The role provides critical legal guidance that bridges innovative technology and privacy protection to enable internet connectivity for underserved communities worldwide.

• Provide strategic privacy legal counsel to business teams developing satellite connectivity solutions
• Develop innovative legal strategies that balance risk management with business flexibility
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex legal and regulatory challenges
• Create processes and frameworks that support rapid technological innovation
• Support global product development with comprehensive legal insights

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Your day will be a blend of strategic legal counsel, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving. You ll engage with product teams, navigate complex privacy landscapes, and translate legal complexities into actionable business strategies. Each day brings unique challenges as you support a mission-driven technology that has the potential to transform global digital access.

Our legal team is uniquely positioned on the product side, offering comprehensive support across business domains. We are a collaborative group dedicated to enabling Amazon Leo s vision of worldwide connectivity. Our team spans multiple regions, supporting business-to-consumer, business-to-business, and government interactions with a forward-thinking approach to legal challenges.

• 2+ years of legal experience
• Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
• Experience in private practice or in-house experience at a technology company or equivalent
• Experience in oral and written communication
• Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
• Experience working closely with and advising senior executives of an organization or equivalent
• Experience working independently and directly with all levels of legal and business partners or equivalent
• Background in technology or product-focused legal support
• Deep understanding of privacy and technology regulations

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
