Overview

Remote Personal Injury Defense Attorney. This permanent position offers an opportunity to handle complex cases in catastrophic injury. Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in handling injury cases and proficiency in personal injury defense law. Salary: $180,000 - $280,000 per year.

Job Details
  • Manage all aspects of a case from inception to conclusion, including drafting pleadings, discovery, depositions, negotiations, settlement discussions, and trial preparation.
  • Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in personal injury cases.
  • Conduct legal research and gather evidence, ensuring a solid defense strategy.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
  • Confer with colleagues to establish and verify bases for legal proceedings.
  • Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
  • Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
  • Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
  • Act as an advocate for clients in legal proceedings, representing them in trials, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations before courts, judges, and other authorities.
Qualifications
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury defense.
  • Proven track record of successfully litigating and settling personal injury cases.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to interpret complex legal information.
  • Proficient in legal research software and case management systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to interface at all levels of the organization and with external clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
