We are seeking a skilled and creative individual to lead the administrative business functions and duties for the Resource Management and Natural Resources Divisions. This includes supervision of daily administrative staff and activities, Maximo database development, auditing, testing, training and maintenance, emergency preparedness, budget monitoring, report preparation in Maximo and JDE. This position coordinates with the Risk Management program to include employee training and department compliance with OSHA, WISHA and site inspections of park facilities.

  • Oversees the Parks Department Risk Management program including coordination with the Risk Management Department.
  • Ensures employee training and compliance with OSHA, WISHA, and site inspections of parks and facilities.
  • Supervises daily administrative activities of the Resource Management and Natural Resource Divisions including staff supervision (timekeeping, utility bill reconciliation and auditing).
  • Maximo Application Suite (MAS) database development, auditing, testing, training and maintenance.
  • Budget monitoring and reporting.
  • Writing and running reports in Maximo Application Suite (MAS), JD Edwards (JDE), and SQL.
  • Provides technical support and training to employees using MAS and JDE
  • Grant writing and follow-up monitoring of Emergency Management grant requests.
  • FEMA Training/tracking requirements for Department to ensure compliance.
  • Interjurisdictional Contract development for Emergency Operation support between King County, Red Cross, and Seattle/King County Public Health.
  • Prepares Emergency Management updates of Department standard operating procedures in coordination with the EOC.
  • Overall administration for emergency preparedness for Department operations.

  • Position requires the ability to exercise influence with positions and people where no formal supervisory relationship exists.
