HDR presents a leadership opportunity for an experienced professional to serve as the Washington (WA) Area Building Engineering Services (BES) Project Delivery Leader (PDL). As PDL, you will report to the WA BES Business Group Manager (BGM) and collaborate with the BGM to ensure consistent project management processes, quality, and oversight across the BES Business Group.
Responsibilities- Promote, monitor, and develop project management skills and quality best practices for BES staff across the Area
- Provide project management team organization and leadership for projects across the BES Business Group
- Monitor project QC Review activities, including assignment of experienced and qualified reviewers
- Lead and monitor activities for continuous improvement of Project Management, including development and use of technical standards, procedures, best practices, and lessons learned
- Lead quality assurance efforts to implement QA/QC Program activities, striving for continuous improvement
- Collaborate effectively with Business Group operations, market leadership/sector leaders, business classes, and Professional Services Leaders
- Perform delegated/designated BGM matrix of authority (MOA) responsibilities
- Work with Business Group Manager to streamline and coordinate business processes consistent with overall corporate policy and MOA
- Assist with daily operations, such as project oversight, management reviews, financials, and driving profitability at the project level
- Develop and implement standard project delivery practices, procedures, and approaches
- Participate in 0% reviews, project reviews, and project approach and resources reviews (PARRs), and support project teams with management of claims and losses
- Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with project teams to verify work completion within agreed‑to budget and schedule
- Perform other duties as needed
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 10 years of related experience
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, and project management software
- Ability to interact with diverse design teams and strong organizational, project management, and communication skills (written and verbal)
