The Housing Division (HD) partners with local governments, Tribes, housing authorities, nonprofits and other organizations to develop and preserve affordable housing, promote individual and family self-sufficiency, and reduce adult and youth homelessness.

The Data & Performance Unit (DPU) within the Housing Division (HD) is responsible for large scale system-wide initiatives related to homelessness and housing data systems, analysis, research, evaluation, and technical assistance.

• Producing actionable and accessible analysis,

• Providing technical assistance to strengthen responses to homelessness and housing crisis.

This position supervises the Coordinated Entry team, ensures compliance with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Coordinated Entry requirements and other applicable federal and state regulations, and leads implementation of Coordinated Entry initiatives identified in the 2024–2029 State Homeless Housing Strategic Plan. The manager is responsible for statewide Coordinated Entry policy development, compliance monitoring, technical assistance, performance improvement, governance support, and cross-system collaboration to ensure communities maintain equitable, consistent, and effective access to housing resources.

This position plays a critical role in preserving Commerce's compliance with federal Continuum of Care requirements, supporting community partners, and advancing statewide strategies to reduce homelessness.

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate Coordinated Entry team staff through regular meetings, performance evaluations, and coaching to ensure high-quality performance and achievement of program objectives.
• Establish work priorities, assign and monitor workload using work plans, project tracking tools, and program priorities to ensure timely completion of assignments and effective program operations.
• Support employee development by identifying training needs, coordinating professional development opportunities, and providing ongoing guidance to strengthen staff knowledge, skills, and performance.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment by facilitating communication, promoting continuous improvement, and encouraging accountability to achieve program goals.

• Provide strategic leadership for the Coordinated Entry system within Washington's Balance of State Continuum of Care by establishing program priorities, coordinating statewide activities, and guiding implementation to ensure equitable and effective access to housing resources.
