Assistant Director of Education Programs

Bellevue, WA USA

Position Summary

The Assistant Director of Education Programs provides operational leadership for Binaytara’s accredited & non-accredited continuing education programs. Reporting to the Director of Education, this position is responsible for supervising the continuing education (CME) staff, managing day-to-day operations, supporting regulatory and accreditation compliance, strengthening quality assurance and process improvement, and coordinating the successful delivery of Binaytara’s educational activities.

Binaytara’s continuing education portfolio includes live and virtual conferences, Onco Blast educational activities, enduring materials, and other accredited educational programs. The Assistant Director works across these programs to ensure activities are planned, implemented, documented, and evaluated consistently, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable accreditation requirements and Binaytara policies.

The Assistant Director serves as a key operational leader within the Education department and works closely with the Director of Education Programs to translate departmental priorities into effective processes, staff workflows, and high-quality educational programs.

Key Responsibilities
Operations and Program Management
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Binaytara’s accredited continuing education activities, including conferences, Onco Blast, enduring materials, and other educational programs.
  • Coordinate workflows and timelines across the lifecycle of CME activities, from initial planning through implementation, evaluation, documentation, and activity closeout.
  • Ensure educational activities meet established internal deadlines, quality standards, and operational requirements.
  • Identify operational issues, bottlenecks, and competing priorities and work proactively with staff and the Director of Education Programs to resolve them.
  • Develop systems that enable the department to effectively manage a growing portfolio of educational activities.
Staff Supervision and Team Leadership
  • Provide direct supervision, guidance, coaching, and day-to-day support to assigned CME staff.
  • Establish clear expectations, responsibilities, priorities, and accountability for team members.
  • Monitor workloads and distribute assignments to support timely and effective completion of departmental responsibilities.
  • Support staff training and professional development, including education related to CME processes, accreditation requirements, technology platforms, and organizational procedures.
  • Foster a collaborative, service-oriented, accountable, and continuous-improvement culture within the CME team.
  • Support the Director of Education Programs with staff performance management and departmental workforce planning.
Accreditation and Compliance
  • Support and oversee compliance with applicable continuing education accreditation requirements, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure required CME documentation is complete, accurate, consistent, and maintained appropriately.
  • Oversee operational processes related to disclosures, conflict-of-interest management, educational independence, accreditation statements, learner documentation, evaluations, and other compliance requirements.
  • Conduct routine reviews and audits of CME activity files to identify documentation or compliance gaps and ensure corrective action.
  • Maintain readiness for accreditation reviews, audits, and other regulatory or quality-assurance activities.
  • Monitor changes in accreditation requirements and work with the Director of Education Programs to incorporate changes into departmental policies, procedures, training, and workflows.
  • Escalate significant compliance concerns or risks to the Director of CME.
Quality Assurance and Process Improvement
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality-control processes for CME operations.
  • Routinely evaluate departmental workflows and recommend improvements that increase quality, consistency, efficiency, scalability, and accountability.
