Job Summary
Collins Aerospace Carbon Operations in Spokane, WA is hiring a motivated, entry‑level Furnace Deck Operator I. The role involves core production processes for manufacturing carbon‑carbon composite brake components in the Furnace Deck department, which handles the carbon vapor deposition process.
Responsibilities- Operate and monitor industrial high‑temperature furnaces for carbon vapor deposition.
- Load and unload high‑capacity cranes and operate forklifts and other equipment to support production flow.
- Assist and troubleshoot automated robots and perform complex physical tasks.
- Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and proactively address safety hazards.
- Follow standard operating procedures to ensure product quality and meet delivery timelines.
- Utilize basic to intermediate computer skills for data entry and process monitoring.
- Lift up to 25 lb. (with reasonable accommodation); items over 25 lb. require lift assistance.
4‑on/4‑off rotation with 12‑hour shifts (7:00AM – 7:00PM / 7:00PM – 7:00AM). Day/night shift rotates every six weeks. Total annual compensation starts at $50,000. Hourly rate: $20.50 plus an always‑active shift differential of $2.75.
