Job Overview

This role develops and owns end-to-end solution design strategies for T‑Mobile’s Physical & Edge AI business, addressing complex technical challenges across connectivity, edge/cloud compute, perception, and applications. Working within a vertically integrated team that takes Physical & Edge AI offerings from concept to commercialization, the role leads the creation of reference architectures and architectural artifacts and enforces design standards so solutions deploy reliably from T‑Mobile’s network edge.

It collaborates with senior management, customers, ISV partners, and internal engineering teams to translate real‑world physical‑AI use cases (such as robotics, autonomous systems, connected machinery, and intelligent sensing) into cohesive, production‑ready designs. Success is measured by the quality, consistency, and business alignment of solution designs and by their successful deployment from proof of concept through production.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and ownership of end-to-end solution designs and reference architectures for Physical & Edge AI deployments, spanning connectivity (5G/MEC), the edge/cloud compute split, perception/inference, and safety/observability.
  • Create and maintain architectural artifacts including diagrams, data models, and technical documentation to support solution implementation across customer, partner, and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with senior management and technical teams to translate business requirements and physical‑world use cases into technical solutions and align designs with platform and enterprise standards.
  • Lead technical engagements with customers, robotics/sensor OEMs, and ISV partners from proof of concept through production, including design review and production‑readiness (QA) gates.
  • Implement design standards and processes to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with organizational architecture guidelines.
  • Identify architectural gaps and define remediation strategies to improve solution efficiency and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed.
Education and Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience (Required).
  • 4–7 years related work experience (Required).
  • 4–7 years dynamic experience in software engineering/enterprise architecture/technology leadership across multiple products, systems and/or platforms, coupled with strong business acuity and executive presence (Required).
