About the roleWe are seeking an experienced First Class Manual Machinist to join our growing team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of hydraulic cylinder repair and manufacturing projects within a modern, fast-paced workshop environment.
As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for producing precision components, repairing hydraulic cylinder parts, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and workmanship. You'll work alongside a skilled and supportive team that takes pride in delivering exceptional results for clients across the mining and industrial sectors.

Working HoursMonday to Thursday 6:30am to 4:00pm
Friday 6:30am to 2:00pm
Weekend and overtime work available
What you'll be doing- Operating 2m & 3m lathes as well as vertical mills to manufacture and repair hydraulic cylinder components
- Experience with hydraulic cylinders or hydraulic components would be an advantage
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications to produce parts that meet strict quality standards
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving to identify and resolve issues during the machining process
- Performing routine maintenance and cleaning on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborating with the hydraulics team to provide technical expertise and support on projects
- Maintaining detailed records of work completed and parts produced
- Mechanical Trade Certificate in Machining or Fitting/Machining
- Experience with manual lathes and vertical milling machines
- Basic computer skills
- Strong problem-solving and quality control and the ability to identify and resolve issues during the machining process
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools and equipment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Candidates must have minimum 3 years post trade manual machining experience to be considered for this position.
