Production Operator

Position Overview

Production Operator I reports to the Production Manager/Supervisor. The role involves operating equipment, preparing raw materials, unloading, packing, labeling, monitoring run rates, performing initial testing and release of products, ensuring compliance with quality standards and company rules, maintaining housekeeping, and performing other duties as assigned.

• Prepare raw materials from staging to weighing.
• Operate processing equipment in accordance with process instructions and procedures.
• Monitor equipment to keep processes running at desired rates.
• Complete initial testing and release of products to ensure specifications are met.
• Check labels and packaging materials for correct labeling.
• Package final products according to instructions and H.B. Fuller quality standards.
• Adhere to quality standards, operating procedures, and legal/EHS rules.
• Maintain housekeeping in assigned area.
• Perform other duties requested by the Production Manager/Supervisor.

• Basic educational degree or high school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of common software programs (MS Office).
• Ability to read and understand work orders, production process, safety regulations and quality procedures.
• Availability to work 12‑hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule (every other Saturday, Sunday, Monday).
• 3 years experience in an industrial environment with machine‑operating skill set.
• Background in plastics machine operation preferred.
• Ability to be cross‑trained to operate all production process equipment.

• Stand for long periods.
• Walk and climb stairs.
• Use hands to remove or lift boxes.
• Stretch and reach with arms extended.
• Stoop and bend.
• Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Work in a normal chemical environment with temperature, dust, smell, and noise.

Pay: $20.00 per hour. Comprehensive benefits package including health & wellness benefits, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, paid holidays, incentive and recognition programs, and total rewards. Eligibility may vary.
