As a Poromerics Maintenance Tech, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, maintenance, and repair of specialized equipment and systems within the Poromerics manufacturing area s role is critical to maintaining high production efficiency and product quality.
Job Responsibilities- Perform routine preventative maintenance on Poromerics production equipment, including but not limited to presses, mixers, coating machines, and drying ovens.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on complex manufacturing machinery.
- Execute corrective maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
- Utilize schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to identify problems and implement solutions.
- Calibrate and adjust equipment to meet precise manufacturing specifications.
- Document all maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent, in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Collaborate with production operators and engineers to identify potential equipment improvements and process optimizations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, and company environmental policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge of new equipment.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new Poromerics equipment.
- Respond to maintenance calls outside of regular hours as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certified Welder
- Certified Millwright or willingness to become certified
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
