The Senior Communications Manager, Postpaid (Sr. Comms Manager) builds and leads the PR strategy around T-Mobile’s postpaid offerings, crafting campaigns and serving as the subject matter expert. The role collaborates with marketing, business stakeholders, agencies, and partners to develop and execute strategic communications that drive earned media and advance T-Mobile’s differentiated value and experience narrative with media.
Job Responsibilities- Lead communications strategy and execution for T‑Mobile’s postpaid offerings, including benefits and other key differentiators.
- Create and execute bold storytelling ideas, opportunities and earned media strategies that break through with consumer and tech media, generate buzz‑worthy coverage, and reinforce T‑Mobile's leadership position.
- Partner closely with business, marketing, partner, and brand teams to identify opportunities, leverage data and insights, align messaging, and deliver integrated campaigns that drive measurable impact.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, bringing forward bold storytelling opportunities that advance business priorities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media, partners, and key internal stakeholders.
- Pinch‑hit on a wide variety of projects for the team in lock‑step with agency resources.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree plus 3 years of related work experience, OR an advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience, OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required).
- Acceptable areas of study include Communications, Journalism, English, PR or related field (Preferred).
- 4–7 years of experience in communications and media strategy at a PR/marketing agency or fast‑paced corporate communications/PR team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- In‑depth knowledge of what makes news and how to manufacture coverage without hard news.
- Ability to partner across the company and with different teams.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Experience developing and executing earned media campaigns for consumer brands, products or benefits is a plus.
- Thrives in a fast‑paced culture of change and innovation; able to think on your feet and pivot on a dime.
- Can work independently but knows when to provide relevant and timely updates to the right people at the right time.
- Self‑starter with a bias for action who takes ownership, drives momentum, and gets things done.
- Strong strategic thinker and problem‑solver who can navigate ambiguity and remain calm under pressure amid tight deadlines.
- Creative storyteller who can identify compelling opportunities and turn them into impactful communications programs.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, follow‑through and accountability.
- Works well with others whether leading or contributing to a project.
- Ensures productivity is enhanced and quality is delivered.
- Brings positive energy, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit, contributing to a high‑performing team culture that celebrates wins, values strong relationships, and has fun along the way.
- Positive interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking, upbeat attitude, high integrity, persistence, and personal initiative are required.
