Transform Lives as Our Relocation Project Manager Intern

Are you ready to gain real-world project management experience while helping shape the future of a mission-driven nonprofit?

The Sophia Way, a leading 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering women to overcome homelessness and achieve stable, secure lives, is offering a unique opportunity for an Unpaid Relocation Project Manager Intern. This isn't just an internship—it’s an opportunity to take a leadership role in a highly visible organizational initiative that directly supports our ability to serve women in our community.

As The Sophia Way prepares to relocate its donation center, you'll play a critical role in helping identify a new location, coordinate stakeholders, manage logistics, and support the successful execution of the move. You'll gain hands‑on experience leading a complex project from planning through implementation while building a portfolio of practical project management accomplishments.

A Foundational Role with Far-Reaching Benefits

For The Sophia Way, our donation center is an essential resource that supports our programs and services. Finding and transitioning to a new location is a significant organizational project that requires thoughtful planning, collaboration, resourcefulness, and strong leadership.

As the Relocation Project Manager Intern, you'll be at the center of this effort. You'll help evaluate potential sites, coordinate with community partners and property managers, support relocation logistics, engage volunteers, and assist in creating operational plans for the new location. Your work will contribute directly to a successful transition that strengthens our ability to collect, organize, and distribute vital resources to women experiencing homelessness.

This is a unique opportunity to move beyond classroom learning and apply project management principles to a real organizational initiative with meaningful community impact.
