RN - Recovery (11am-11pm) | Pacific Sky Recovery Center | Spokane, Washington

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care to patients, supervising care, treatment and services of patient care provided by LPNs, CNAs and other staff on assigned unit and shift. They develop, implement, and evaluate an individual plan of care for each client, perform assessment and re‑assessment of patients, and communicate appropriate information with the interdisciplinary team. The RN reports client concerns and changes in condition to the supervisor and/or physician in a timely manner.

$37.50/hr – $56.00/hr

• Provides and coordinates care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs of clients, developing and implementing nursing care plans, maintaining medical records and educating clients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions while ensuring client safety at all times.
• Assesses client’s status on an ongoing basis and documents pertinent information.
• Ensures nursing treatment plans are specific to assessed needs and the initial treatment plan is completed upon admission.
• Takes physician’s orders accurately, documents appropriately, and ensures orders are legible if taken verbally.
• Accurately administers medications per ordered note, documents accurate count of controlled substances, adjusts medications under provider supervision as needed, and monitors lab results to validate medication compliance.
• Notifies physician of significant changes in status such as difficulties with detox, medical emergencies, or changes in medical status regarding medication response.
• Supervises self‑administration of medications using the two‑means-of-identification safety initiative, documents and reports effects of scheduled and PRN medications.
• Maintains accountability of medication administration, recording, control and security, including narcotics.
• Completes admission and discharge processes efficiently and accurately as directed.
• Confers regularly with the treatment team (nurses, therapists, program managers, physician) regarding client care; attends and participates in unit activities such as therapy groups, family meetings, staffing, and unit meetings.
• Provides education and explanation to clients, families, and co‑workers regarding medication usage, common side effects, client’s rights, and other topics necessary for optimal client care.
• Monitors client acuity, census, staffing needs, and makes arrangements for coverage as needed, following established guidelines.
• Ensures thorough, accurate documentation is completed for all clients on each shift; client assignment sheets are completed daily and tasks are carried out as assigned.
• Provides thorough report to oncoming staff, supervisors, and physician.
• Provides coverage in emergency services as needed.

• Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• One or more years of nursing experience within the clinical area of service provided by the facility preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric, or addiction recovery environment preferred.

• Valid current RN license from the state or from a compact state, where applicable.
• Certified in Psychiatric Nursing preferred.
