ReportingThis position reports directly to the Director of Nursing and collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team.
Key Responsibilities- Assess residents’ physical and mental health status and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments safely according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Monitor, record, and communicate changes in residents’ conditions to the care team.
- Educate residents and families on care plans, health management, and preventive strategies.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and resident care conferences.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care, interventions, and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with infection control practices, safety standards, and resident rights.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to licensed and unlicensed nursing staff.
- Participate in facility quality improvement initiatives, in‑services, and continuing education programs.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing).
- Current, active Washington State RN license.
Experience in skilled nursing, long‑term care, or rehabilitation settings preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
Qualifications and Skills- Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to follow care plans, collaborate with team members, and provide resident‑centered care.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to quality resident care.
- Physical ability to safely assist residents and perform nursing duties including lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Skilled Nursing Facility environment with direct interaction with residents, staff, and visitors.
- May involve walking, standing, lifting, and exposure to bodily fluids and infectious materials.
- Must be able to cope with the stresses of working in a 24‑hour care environment serving elderly and medically complex residents.
