Position Overview
RN – Med Surg – Orthopaedic Unit, 4th Floor, Bellevue Medical Center (Nights).Shift: First Shift (United States of America).Position includes a sign-on bonus of $15,000.
Duties- Provide, prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care with other health‑care providers to meet the holistic needs of a designated group of patients.
- Care for orthopaedic, oral‑maxillofacial, plastic, general surgery, surgical oncology, spinal surgery, and other patients.
- Collaborate closely with physical therapists to manage patient pain throughout their stay.
- Utilize telemetry capabilities and a care‑delivery model that pairs nurses with nursing assistants.
- Registered Nurse license;
Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required. - Effective communication skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, teamwork, and flexibility.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or a current compact state license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an AHA‑endorsed program, effective for new hires starting January1,2023 or later.
- Required departmental certifications:
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS);
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6months of hire;
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) within oneyear.
- Direct patient care experience.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: cardiology, cardiac drip management, critical care, emergency department, medical‑surgical, obstetrics, cardiovascular rehabilitation, telemetry, oncology, neonatal intensive care, pediatric acute care, solid organ transplant, cath lab, EP lab, quality assurance, perioperative and special procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) or Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Relevant specialty training courses (STABLE, smoking cessation counseling, basic critical care, etc.) preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email applications, and departmental equipment and systems.
- Sign‑on bonus of $15,000.
- Student Loan Repayment Program ($437.50/month up to $5,250 annually, no lifetime maximum).
- Relocation support: $3,000 for adjoining states; $4,500 for non‑adjoining states.
- Eligible for Student Loan Repayment Program.
Full‑time or part‑time positions available. First Shift (and Third Shift) options may apply.
